How many passengers can travel in Herbie?

Herbie has no rear seat belts.  Is this legal?

Yes.  When Herbie was originally built it was not compulsory to have rear seat belts fitted.  However we ask that those travelling in the back, particularly children, behave in a sensible and appropriate manner as we cannot be held responsible for any injuries caused by climbing or kneeling on the seats.
